Video Games Appeal To The Male Fantasy

The Video Games Appeal To The Male Fantasy meme originally comes from a Buzzfeed Yellow video titled “Feminists Play Grand Theft Auto For The First Time” on April 23rd, 2015. The video shows its presenters getting shocked and grieved over how video games express massive violence and objectifies women as a whole, to the point where one of the presenters quotes this while playing through a scene at a stripclub. Since then various remix videos have been made where different clips humorize the “male fantasy” part. The first remix video was published by a YouTube user punpun on August 29th, 2016 and later many other ones were made. However, the format first saw its use as an image macro on October 27th, 2017 through a Facebook post which then was popularized across sites like 9GAG, Reddit and Imgur. The Video Games Appeal To The Male Fantasy meme is also (sometimes erroneously) referred to as: the male fantasy meme, buzzfeed male fantasy meme, video games male fantasy meme.
