Oh, We Happy

The “Oh, We Happy” meme is taken from the movie Pulp Fiction, released on October 14th, 1994. The scene features the character Vincent Vega opening a briefcase and replying with the above statement when Jules Winnfield asks “We happy?”. Screenshots of this scene are used as a reaction image macro where the statement is used as a response to various hilarious things. The memes started growing in 2018 when it was first posted on /r/MemeEconomy on July 29th. A few months later, the four paneled variants were rampant across other subreddits. The “Oh, We Happy” meme is also (sometimes erroneously) referred to as: we happy meme, we happy? Meme, pulp fiction we happy meme, vincent vega meme, vincent vega and jules winnfield meme.
