Annoying Facebook Girl

The Annoying Facebook Girl meme is an advice animal derived from an archived 4chan thread on June 17th, 2010. The template consists of the picture of a teenage girl with her mouth agape and eyes rolled up, centered in front of a blue and white wheel background. It is used as an image macro consisting of overlaid captions describing certain irritating or attention seeking Facebook activities. After gaining somewhat popularity from 4chan, the original picture was uploaded to Reddit on October 2nd, 2011. About a few months later, in December, talks circulated online about the girl’s identity and an article was published by The Daily Dot on the similar topic. Variants of the meme were noticed across Buzzfeed, Memegenerator, Quickmeme, and other similar sites. The Annoying Facebook Girl meme is also (sometimes erroneously) referred to as: attention-seeking fb girl meme, stupid fb girl meme, annoying fb girl meme, idiotic facebook girl advice animal.
