Spongebob Filing

The Spongebob Filing meme is taken from s03ep10b titled “Krusty Krab Training Video” of the animated television series Spongebob Squarepants which aired on May 10th, 2002. The original picture shows Spongebob walking his fingers through a bunch of files looking for the folder which contains the recipe of his signature dish, the krabby patty. It is used as an exploitable where, for different given situations, the files are each named as something ridiculously relatable. The meme was initially posted on Twitter on December 6th, 2016 by user @YaBoiSpongebob. After getting thousands of retweets and likes from there, the format slowly started spreading to BuzzFeed, Tumblr, and other sites in the following months. The Spongebob Filing meme is also (sometimes erroneously) referred to as: spongebob walking hand meme, hand walking spongebob meme, spongebob looking for files meme, spongebob walking hands through files meme.
