Clever Thoughts

The Clever Thoughts meme was first uploaded to Tumblr by user solowhale prior to July 10th, 2011. The picture shows a diagram of a human head containing ‘clever thoughts’ written inside it which are shown to come out as something incomprehensible and badly worded. It is used as an exploitable where people’s desired way of expression is juxtaposed against what they ultimately end up saying. The meme started gaining popularity from August 18th across Tumblr and sites such as knowyourmeme. However, the meme spiked immense popularity around spring 2020 across Twitter. The nClever Thoughts meme is also (sometimes erroneously) referred to as: thoughts coming out as too many words meme, clever thoughts coming out as sth else meme, too many words coming out of mouth meme.
