College Liberal

The College Liberal meme is an advice animal image macro based on a picture initially hosted on the site Photobucket, presumably captured on October 1st, 2005. The image shows a white hippie woman with dreadlocks and a knitted cap. It represents the character as a left-wing activist with hypocritical and cliché opinions, actions and statements, which are more often than not related to certain hippie subcultures. The image was initially seen as a meme around March 2007. Years later, in December 2011, the format resurfaced on Quickmeme as an image macro. Around the same time, variants of the advice animal were uploaded to /r/AdviceAnimal. Within mid-2012, it had spread significantly across other sites like FunnyJunk, Tumblr, Memebase, etc. The College Liberal meme is also (sometimes erroneously) referred to as: hippie college liberal meme, college liberal hippie advice animal, left-wing activist hippie meme, left-wing college liberal meme.
